Hello all,

I have a leak on my 1999 ranger 4.0 v6 on the back passenger side of the engine where the bell housing and block meet. I can't see where the leak is but I can see where the antifreeze is leaking down. Below the head theres a green sensor plug in the block and its coming from that spot. Can anyone tell me what that sensor is and how to remove and replace it? The Ford dealer in my area is no help at all.

Thanks in advance

A green connector below the rear of the head is likely the o2 sensor connector. If you have a coolant leak in that area it's probably the intake gasket or a rusted out core plug in the back of the head. Both are pretty common.
