hi,today my truck was overheating on the way home,it dint run rough or leaking before. wen i found it was overheating(just before the red) i stop the engine and stop on the shoulder right away, i first found antifreeze coming out the cold air intake(out the cone filter),then i have check the motor oil and found over 2-3 quarts of coolant in it. i towed the truck at home right away and din't start it either beacause of the excess fluid in the oil pan

the thing thats bugs me its the antifreeze that the engine throws up real bad in the intake :icon_confused:. could it be the intake gasket and not the heads??? i really hope so lol

oh and i got a 1994 ranger with the 4.0L ohv with a 5spd standard and air condition

i could be the intake gasket because my chevy did that but didnt put coolent in the oil just dumped it out on top of the motor

i just hope it's that,i just bought the truck 2 months ago so i dont want to sell it as i still have lots of payment to do on it lol. i heard about the 5th bolt on the intake that is very comon on 93 and 94 rangers that they came loose. the truck has 190km(canadian model) on it,not much for the year.i love the power of the engine too.i never beat up the truck, rev the engine no more than 3000 rpm on each shift, its just amazing how much antifreeze there is in the intake. my dad is a 25 year mechanic and it is his first time to see so much antifreeze in a air intake like this

just wander too, if i have about 2 quart of anifreze in my oil + 5 quart of oil, is it posible to just put on the intake gasket and everything be good? cause i think they all have that problem right?
