Anti theft bug, after MAF fix??

So I bought a 1997 Ranger couple weeks ago and the guy said there are some electrical bugs in it. Most I have fixed some coming back. One that came back was the MAF tripping the CEL, so cleaned it reinstalled the neg wire to battery. It started fine, no CEL and went on my way. Stop later shut off truck then theft light came on horn honked once then wouldn't start. Pulled fuse etc. and nothing, so pulled neg off battery again waited few minutes now back to normal???? I didn,t even know my truck had anti-theft. PCM? Start looking for short? Quit using auto locks? Love the truck and got plans for it, but the hate part of relationship is already starting.

guess no one else has seen this, no problems since yesterday. I going to turn wrenches today so maybe give an update.
