Anti-tailgater device

I don't like to eat and drive. I find it hard to work three pedals, the turn signal, the wheel, the gear shift, and hold on to a drink and burger.

The girlfriend on the other hand... her dad wouldn't let her take the road test until she could handle the wheel, a drink, and a big mac.

yeah in town's a pain, but highway's easy

This thread is thick with bad advice.

Hey, nobody is intimidated by your bumper stickers and shotgun rack. If they are tailgating you and feeling aggressive, let them go by. I drop wheels off the road and submit.

I'm not ass-whip-able. But an angry woman in a 4,200# Grand Caravan would make a road pizza out of me. She might be weeping and sorry afterwards but me and my 5 kids might regret my pissing her off more by slamming on the brakes and waving vulgar protests.

If you are in a Ranger, a 125# girl in a 400hp Escalade could crush you like a carton of expired eggs. People get an attitude while in their car. It don't mean nothin'. Just get home safely and let it ride.

this is what i have for tailgaters nice thick piece of angle iron i had laying around :thefinger:it is currently painted black and pending some "back up" lights just incase they cant see it

When I had my Hyundai I flipped the nozzle for the rear washer and drilled it out slightly. I used to keep the rear filled with a mixture of water and dish soap and when driving at highway speeds it was enough to cover someone's windshield even if they weren't right on me. I'd have to say it was pretty effective because most of the time people backed off.

from the times when i rode in my truck, i remeber no one taigating us, mainly cause our exhuast smelled bad, there is a good side to bad O2 sensors :P

One thing that I do (for self protection) is I always have very large round metal bearings in my console. I have lived around the world where if you were American male or female somebody may want to either kidnap you, rape you or just murder you. Some places we were not allowed to carry or weapons (and we are protecting these idiots countries). So I started carrying the bearings around. If somebody tried to chase you they would bump you or try to ram you off the road.
This is what happened to me and two female friends one early morning. I was driving in Manila back in the mid 80's when we were surprised by some idiots who tried to get us to stop. They were driving a Toyota pickup and we were in a US Navy Jeep. We got up to about 80 mph and they tried to ram us for the third time and I threw four of the bearings out behind us and I know at least one or two hit the windshield of the truck behind us. They went off the road and into a ditch and we saw a large fire right after the impact. We just kept on going. I still carry a handful of the large bearings in my console...just in case.
