hahahaha. Pictured is a 4ft. But I'm currently running a 5ft.

Best location for an antenna is away from body panels because of the way the radio waves travel off the antenna....mines in the best spot for radio performance without putting holes in your roof. The best place is dead center of the roof. stay the hell clear of duals...sure they look cool, but our trucks aren't big enough to take any advantange to having duals. I ran two 4 footers on my tool box a long time ago and only one was wired up...worse performance than just having the one on the toolbox.

I don't have any pictures, but hopefully this will make sense. 03 Edge Stepside. There is a hole already in the bed about 1 foot from the front of the bed on both side. I drilled through the bedliner and enlarged the hole slightly for the antenna to fit though. Works great! I don't see the antenna in the mirrors at all and it doesn't hit my cab. Oh, its a 4-ish foot stainless steel whip with a load coil about 2/3 the way up the antenna.

I got a 5 ft firestick mounted in the center of my diamond plate toolbox. I had the 102 incher there, but it made the box flex too much for comfort. The five footer looks good, and works great

it shouldn't. the frequencies they use are very, very far apart, like hundreds of MHz's. i have both of mine within a foot or so of each other.

No pick, but 3" steel plate bolted to bed in center between cab and bed. Goes up even with roof of cab. "L" bracket mounted flush to it. BEST place for CB antenna due to radio waves. Keeps signal sending and receiving in all directions. If the center load of your antenna is not above the highest point of your vehicle for the ground plane, you will be directional in the way your antenna transmits and receives. I run a second battery and alternator just for my cb equipment. Galaxy 10 meter converted to an 11 meter, 50 watt modulater, 450 high drive to a sweet 16 before going out my Wilson 5000. Needless to say, I'm heard when I want to be, and yes it will bleed over intercoms, stereos and even interfere with touch lamps and television signals. LOL!
