Another Toyota recall has been announced - or rather, three recalls at once. A recall by Toyota Motors is beginning to become commonplace. A recall by Toyota Motors not being announced will become announced. This time, it's only just over 1.5 million autos impacted by the recall. The main recall is for over 1.3 million autos. There's a possible fuel pump or brake cylinder defect. Yet another Toyota Motors recall, of an innocuous 130,000 automobiles, is in effect for brake drums which can effortlessly rust. Source for this article - Toyota recall of yet an additional million cars

Toyota Motors recalling again

About 1.53 million cars in the whole world are being recalled by Toyota Motors. There is a possible defect in the braking system. ABC reports that the Toyota Motors Highlander, Avalon and also the Lexus GS300, IS250 and IS350 are the models in the recall. The problem is a possible defect within the seal for the master brake cylinder. Brake fluid leaking would occur if the master cylinder seal cracked. Brake pressure might go down while a warning light could appear. There are 740,000 automobiles in the United States affected by the brake cylinder recall. The possible leak hasn't lead to any accidents.

Other Toyota Motors recalls

Toyota is also recalling 130,000 vehicles in China because of a defect in the rear wheel disk brakes, which could possibly rust. Besides the recall of the 740,000 automobiles within the United States, Toyota Motors is also recalling practically 600,000 autos in Japan over possible defects in the fuel pump. The fuel pump can have a possible electric fault, which can cause the automobile to stall. That defect is so far only thought to be in vehicles in Japan, based on the brand new York Times. The fuel pump difficulties are thought to be mostly confined to the Crown model, which isn't sold in the U.S.

How to proceed

Toyota could be mailing out notifications to owners. The recall only contains certain model years. These are from 2004 to 2005. Toyota Motors has not had a good year so far. The car maker continues to be raked over the coals for recalls, though recalls by automobile makers are often preventative.

First article: A possible leak that hasn't caused any accidents.

Second article: neither has anything to do with the U.S.

More Toyota stuff getting blown out of proportion. Lots of vehicles from every manufacturer have recalls. The early focus's were having their rear wheels fall off. SUV's are having tires blow out and roll over (which was also blown way out of proportion). The list goes on.

And need I remind everyone that our own beloved little trucks are STILL being recalled due to a pesky problem of bursting into flames, which encompasses more years than I can recall and most of the vehicles Ford makes.

I'm a Ford/American buff as much as the next guy, but this Toyota bashing is getting old.

Toyota is not the only one.....Ford has had a lot of recalls... one of the worst is the issues with eletrical problems tha have caused fires that burned some homes with people and pets in them. One fire just happend in a county near us... F150 electrical fire from the cruise control. Nissan is having a recall as well now for 03-06 stalling issues. GM...lots of recalls.

The leak in the master brake cylinder kinda caught my eye. A good friend of mine just picked up 2002 f150 lariat from the auction. Well he noticed it had very little brake fluid, so he kept topping it up until i saw him do it and went what the hell man? just fix it. So we got in there, followed all the lines, flexed them to look for cracks or wear, nothing. Check the TSB's, and there it is, the o-ring / gasket on a connector on the master cylinder. I love Ford, I bleed Ford Blue, but Toyota recalls and fixes it, Ford puts out a TSB. I say good on them for customer service, and lets hope ford takes that attitude and runs with it. If you sold something that was dangerous or wrong, fix it, now. You win a customer on price once, you win a customer on service ten times over.

Amen, Brother!!! Darn those CEO's making all that loot and when they get fired and walk away they still make all that loot!!!!

:annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

I say bash Toyota.. I can't get enough of it. All you used to hear was the media saying how much better they were than US vehicles and then they find it's because of coverups.. Bash them right out of here!

As for the O ring... you're blaming Ford for an O ring on a 9 year old truck? Come on..

Sure they've all had issues, but the better-than-thou element that was Toyota's theme was VERY wearing. I'll put my Ranger up against any Foriegn Company created vehicle. I'll put my '65 against any foriegn built vehicle of the same year also.. may the better one win... I know who'll come out on top.

They fixed the problem vehicles first 5 years ago.

Now they are adding that fuse to everything else that used that same switch, and they used it on just about everything.

Sock puppet with a whole TWO posts alerts a FORD truck forum to a TOYOTA problem.

Back to "work," union scum.
