Hello to all RBV owners, fans, and enthusiast...
I'm the proud owner of a 95 Ranger XTL Super Cab (3.0, 5 spd, 2WD) since 1996. 200k miles later: still my daily driver, hauler, and considered a member of the family.
From central South Carolina, I have been an off/on follower of The Ranger Station. I finally took the plunge and hope to learn a lot and offer what I can to others. In my prior lives: I was a heavy equipment mechanic, welder, and have been a gear-head since before I had a license. So, while I lack in RBV expertise (beyond my experience with my truck), I hope I can offer some help to others.
I have plans for my Ranger...engine rebuild (maybe consider a swap to something bigger...but inclined to stick with what Ford gave me), 4X4 conversion (I know many have strong opinions against this and say buy a 4X4 but; I love my truck, would enjoy the project, and have the facilities/equipment), and am looking at a conversion to an automatic transmission (20 years of shifting a manual transmission is getting old).
Well, that's me. I look forward to your help and hope I might help some with my own experiences.
