i backed my ranger in the driveway last night and it was running fine, shut it of and the next day i went to start it and no go. it is getting gas and i checked the timing belt and thats all good but it has no spark, any ideas why?

mine used to do the same thing it really was a pain it wouldnt start then it would. All i did was switch my primary and secondary coils to see and it worked fine so i bought a new coil

yes the motor rolls over but wont fire up i can roll it over all day and still nothing

One coilpack starts the motor, the other does nothing until the engine is running.
As ready to rebuild said, try switching coil packs.
You can also test the crank trigger to see if it is working.

manual or auto? Have you tried wiggling it in the park gear if its auto? my expe wont start unless the shifter is completely into park. I have to slam it once in a while.

yup i tryed moving the park leaver, still nothing. im going to switch the coils today and see if that works.

i swaped out the coils today and still nothing, i tryed a new computer still nothing, im running out of options if any one has a idea what it might be please let me know.

This may sound stupid but have you tried checking fuses/relays?

ignition control module... have it tested.

Solenoid? starter cable? Ground wires? Computer? Neutral safety switch(or teh auto equivalent)? I cant think of nuthin else.....

ive checked fueses, relays, ground wires all that stuff, would there be a chance it could be the crank sensor?

im telling you, it's probably the ICm or a bad ground...
