Andy Rooney, popular voice on "60 Minutes", died 11/4/11. He was 92.

its unfortunate to lose people on major shows, though i hated that show with a passion.

I used to watch it sporadically long ago.....his was the best part, though.

not surprized actually, i remember thinking "how long...." after his last brodcast. remember charles schultz died shortly after retiring fom doing the "peanuts" cartoons. i remember watching 60 min with dad growing up. andy rooney's segment was the best part of the show. more commentators should be like him and say it like it is...

Yes, he told it like it was, even tho he often got a lot of flack about it.

Too bad there aren't more honest, straight thinking people in the public realm
