Figured I might as well start a build thread on my truck, no matter how slow it may be updated. Mostly just for my records. Bought truck in December, 2008. Here's the truck it replaced...

Pretty clean '94 F-150 5.0 auto, s/b, Aussie locked 8.8, L/S D44 up front, stock gears... manual t-case from a 95, Pro-Comp 4", BFG 33x12.5 M/T, and some dual exhaust... oooooooooh.
Here's the '92 as I bought it in December.

Truck had 344,xxx km on it. 2.9 rebuilt w/ receipt at 243,xxx km, A4LD rebuilt at 300,xxx km w/ receipt, 4.10 gears. Superlift 4" lift installed, 3" PA body lift. Did ball joints when I bought it, and wheel bearings and threw on a K&N filter, as the stock airbox was cracked ABOVE the filter. Genius... About a month later, broke the coil bucket, replaced with a solid one from local Pick 'N' Pull. Threw on some BDS shocks at the same time. No pictures, as I wasn't thinking of that at the time. Drove/wheeled it as it was for months, got some new tires, and did body mounts. Replaced the 4x4 control module, plugs and wires, and other misc. things.

Recently, broke a leaf spring so I figured it was time to do the 64" swap. Got them re-arched and got rid of the stock block. Here's a few pictures.

:shok: That's a large amount of camber on them there springs!

Upside down/Belltech 6400 shackles. Don't worry, I won't be driving it like this! I don't have a welder yet, so it was just put together so I could move it in and out of the garage if I needed to use the space.

Driveable.

And what the heck, might as well post a couple pics of my DD. Paid $400 CDN for it... needed ring gear and a head gasket to get 'er running again. In pretty good shape if you ask me! In terrible need of a regear though, after I threw the 235/75R15's on it. Threw the 4x4 coils on the front to level it out a bit and stop the rubbing on the fender at full lock. Swapped in the seats from my parts truck, dash pad as well. Going to throw the stock blocks from my '92 under the leaves, and grab a couple 2WD F-150 coil spacers for the front. Here she is, not bad for $400 CDN, huh? :yahoo:

Missing a LOT of interior pieces... luckily my parts truck has a blue interior! :headbang:

SEATS!

Not too shabby, I'd say. Very little rust too, excellent.

Now, here's where I need some input from you guys! The parts truck I have has a flat deck on it... I'm torn as to whether I should throw the flat deck on my 92, or leave it... I mean, I've got a perfectly good, rust-free box! :dunno:
Here's a picture of the parts truck when I first bought it, and the flat deck on it. 87 4x4 2.9, $200, rings gone.

Flat deck. Yay or nay?

NAY!!!!!!!! I love the chrome stripe down the side and diamond plate under the tailgate, but you should get the grill chrome then too...just a thought

Haha, thanks MC. The chrome stripe is actually just tin tape, like you'd use on ducting. :icon_twisted: The truck had a huuuuuge dent in the passenger side door, so when I repainted it, I thought it needed something to break up the red a bit... TIN TAPE! It actually turned out not too bad, considering. =P And I threw that checker plate in there 'cause of the body lift... I thought it looked silly having that huge gap in there.
Thanks for the input. And the grille and headlight bezels are black now.

Well, threw the flat deck on there... not sitting as high as it should, nor is it bolted down. I have some 5" channel that would go under the mounting points. What do y'all think? I'm torn... :dunno:

Seems to be the general consensus. I guess no flat deck. Haha.

Well, that's not the flat bed I was going to use, just needed a place to put it 'til my cousin comes and picks it up for his S10. Was just trying to get an idea what it would look like with a flat deck, but I think I'm partial to the Ranger body lines.

i think it looks bad ass, i am doing the exact same build, but with an 88' ext cab.

Thanks RDR! Hopefully I can do the SAS this winter and have it ready for the Spring. :icon_hornsup:
