For the last couple of days iv been workin hard at degreasing and de mudding my truck, its gettin there. Ive pry spent a good 4 hours under my truck scraping and what not. Any Tips? :icon_thumby:

-Simple Green
-Power Washing

Anything Else?

for mud, put a sprinkler under your truck and walk away. for grease and road grime i like 'gunk foamy engine brite' spray it on, let it sit, pressure wash it off.

Never though about the Sprinkler :icon_thumby: Repped you for that.
Does the Engine Brite work good? ive had some people say Simple green is better... :dunno:

For cleaning off grease and dirt, what works the best is a heated pressure washer. I got to use one of those to clean off a piece of equipment for service work once, amazing how fast it got things clean. Wish I had one of those....

Is it hooked up to hot water? or Cold? then Heated?

hooked to cold water but has a heater unit to make it steamy hot

thats how we do it at work (used restaurant equipment, caked with grease)

as for simple green vs engine brite? i have no idea. ive never really used simple green for automotive stuff. the engine brite is supposed to be self emulsifying because of the foam action. i'm sure the simple green is cheaper though. oh and thanks for the rep, good to see some people still know how that's supposed to be used. :icon_thumby:

Yeah, a heated pressure washer works about as good as anything.

But you have to get to it, and there are so many angles under the bottom of your truck you will never get it all.

Its Called Rep for a reason, its not just handed out like candy. :icon_thumby:

Yeah, iv been scraping the grease off also to wiping down with Simple Green and a rag then Power Washing.

The grease keeps the rust from forming......:headbang:

Hell yeah, that's why my frame looks new. I only clean it to work on it, and I paint the oil right back on!
