An update on my 84 V8 Ranger

I tap out them plugs on every engine I do. I have three engines on stands right now and all of them have been tapped out already. Its the first thing that I do while I am tearing them down. You will need a 1/4-18 NPT tap to do it and you can get them pipe plugs just about anywhere that sale that type of stuff. The hole by the cam needs to be tapped a little deep to make sure its below the surface so the cam retainer plate will set flat. Its very easy to do and if you need any info on doint it just ask. Good luck....Mike.

well by the looks of things, my dad wants to find a 2.8/2.3 to drop back into the truck to make it an affordable daily driver, thank you gas prices :(

Might as well go 2.8 if you can. And yeah man, I cannot blame you with those gas prices. Your Ranger would seem like itself but maybe at some point down the road a V8 can go back in.
