amp wiring

fairly new the the car audio scene. ive put a new headunit and door speakers in my ranger on my own, but thats pretty much the extent of my experience. a friend asked me if i could put wire an amp and subs (2-12") into her car, however ive no idea how all the wiring works. if someone could explain it or give me a simple drawing i'd appreciate it.

if it makes any difference she already has an aftermarket head unit in it.

yea i thought about looking online after i had posted. thats pretty much what i thought it would entail, just wanted to hear from people who had done it before if there was anything special.

the wiring it pretty cut and dry. making it look nice is what defines a good installation
