i have a '90 2wd 4.0L ranger with a dead motor but good trans- a4ld i think,. could it be possible to take the trans out of the ranger and put it into my '99 explorer 4wd that has a crapped out tranny? the explorer has od on the end of the column shift but the ranger has the big O over the D on the gear indicator on the dash. am i looking at a lot of work or can it even be done??
