Spotted something interesting for sale for the 2.3 Lima today, an aluminum head and intake. Based on the listing I'm assuming it is a dirt track racer selling off parts. Can't find a whole lot of information on it, so figured I'd see what you guys know.

The head is a aluminum single plug head with a Ford logo and part number cast in. Ford oval logo, P/N M6049A230, 9/13/94 castng date, valves installed, manual lash adjusters. No cam or followers.

Intake appears to be for a 2bbl carb. Also has the oval ford logo and the part number M9424B230 cast in.

Searching the internet gives little results for those part numbers. Like I said, I assume that the parts would be from an old dirt track racer. Would that head be any good getting more power on the street? Would that head be any good for turbo use?

I don't think I'd want to use the intake because I plan to stay fuel injected, even if it does end up with aftermarket EFI (Megasquirt based).

Its probably built for very high rpm use. My limited knowledge would say it would not be great for street use as the intake velocity would probably not be great. Turbo might be ok tho.

Unfortunately I don't know on the head, I haven't heard of any factory aluminum options but I wasn't really paying attention.. the intake on the other hand is likely a marine unit. I don't have the intake patterns memorized so I can't tell one from the other, the single plug setups have I think 3 or 4 different patterns depending on the year...
