alternator wiring help!!!

okay, does anyone know exactly which wires go where on the alternator. im jus tryin to make sure i hooked everything up right being as i bought a new alternator and regulator and its still not charging. are their any fuses also for any part of the charging system????

I think you should first check your battery's charge and make sure it is FULLY charged, The alternator does not charge the battery it only maintains the battery's charge, so a low battery will stay low even with a new alternator. As for as fuses and connections I don't know witch alternator you have so I cannot say for sure, but the connections and wiring are basically like this. There is a fusible link for the alternator that is connected at the starter relay, Check the starter relay it should have the large battery+ connected to the left post. The right post should have the large starter wire(red), the fusible link(green), the alternator power wire(black, orange stripe), and a couple other small wires(yellow) all connected together. On the alternator the large power wire (blk, org stripe) goes to the starter relay, and there are also a couple of small wires that I am not sure of were they connect to on your truck, if you have more info let us know. good luck.

I had a similar issue, mine turned out to be in the instrument cluster. Now it works.
