Lately I have had some problems with my alternator.
It works fine when I'm driving along, but when I come to a stop,
The Idle slows to 1000RPM's, then Drops to 600RPM and the Voltage gauge
drops to 8Volts, so I have to hold the gas pedal to keep it around 1000RPM
to keep the gauge around 12 Volts, And its a real pain to keep my foot
floating over the gas so It doesn't die out in an intersection.
I can't afford a new alternator so I need a tip on how to fix this without
replacement.
I just added fog lights to the front, and they don't affect the charge,
but after I installed them, I moved the plugs on the alternator around
and it through a Charge light, Since then I disconnected and reconnected
the harness and that light went away.
