Just got a 2000 4.0L Ranger 4x4 about a week ago

Im getting a leveling kit and 33 in. A/T's

anyone wanna give me some tips on what all terrains are generally better?

I was thinking of nitto terra grapplers but I think I want alittle bit more tread

I have grown fond of the General Grabber AT2. Severe snow rated, seems to wear nicely and at a price that is tough to beat. Plus, unlike BFG, they have a treadwear warranty.

Get the BFG A/Ts. best A/T hands down. They last sooooo long and get you through alot of stuff! Plus they look real aggressive I have them on my truck in a 31x10.50

BF Goodrich for A/T, but why not go with some M/T for a more aggressive look?
And those General Grabbers are just a cheap copy of the BFG ATs

The bfg's are absolutely good in everything BUT clay type mud!!!! Mud terrains are good EXCEPT during the winter, an AT will beat a mud tire hands down in the winter.

I would go with the bfg all terrain ta ko's

bfg's..... just say no to nitto.... and avoid dunlop at all costs.

General Grabber has a new tire with a sqrare block tread pattern, not sure of the actual name but modeled after the competition tire. If your gonna spend the money I hear they are awesome. You can only get 31's with red letters though.

I had Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 17's when I first got them, they were impresssive for what little tread they had.

My Ranger is a nasty little tank with Dunlop Mud Rovers. They are kind of loud, but I got them used so I can't speak of what kind of rotation schedule they were on before I got them. I rotate often and it goes down the road as smooth as a all-season. Like any MT they are not the greatest on packed snow or ice, but it is dicy with any tire in those situations.

Another mean looking AT is a Goodyear Duratrac, lots of good words floating around about them.

Bfg's will last u a long time longer than muds and they do look pretty aggressive I have them on all my trucks. Except one has muds. But all are bfg. Best tires imo.

Leveling kit and 33's? So basically you're gonna crank your t-bars to the stops, BAD idea. You'll want to run 31's and crank the suspension so it's just level, no more. If you want to lift your truck, you really should consider a set of lift spindles or something. When you run stock joints at close to the top of your travel, you're using the parts in ways they are not designed to, and you'll top out the suspension constantly - leading to worn out balljoints and axles in no time flat. Research the best way to raise up your truck, or leave it stock height.

i've got 33's on my truck, with a 3" BL, and i still hit the fender in the back... the front is just fine, i ended up putting expo leafs and 6400 shackles on my truck, it sits the same height (no blocks now) waiting to see how it flexes... i think it's going to be the same or worse though... my shocks wouldn't take the blocks, about 1/4" too much... )

my truck came with bfg ko's they are a WICKED tread, and i like everyone else said, they do amazing on everything, except clay mud (which is around here) when i bought the truck, it had 64000km on it, and the tires looked like they could have passed for a lower end tire brand new, tread depth wise... i pulled them off at 80 000km and they still have tonnes left, they are my highway road trip tire
