Just ordered an alienware x51 tower, I7 processor, 8gb ram, 1tb hdd, NVIDIA geforce gtx 660 1.5gb gfx card. Hoping to have some fun with it!! Does anyone have one?

No I don't, but now I have drool all over my keyboard thank you.

coulda built the same same computer for half the price, just sayin'.

does it have a SSD in it? what are you more into, rpgs or fps's, etc? i have an older custom built but i plan on building a new one once i get done with school.

Alienware are like Lamborghini's.... sold for way more then it worth, but it still a very nice PC, the best PC's IMO you can buy pre-built. I think you will love it, but alienware tech/warranty department... a nightmare to deal with...but other then that you will be blazing through everything you do.

I have a I7 930 with 6go ddr3 @1600mhz and hd5830 1go gfx card.. Built it end of 2010 and it still runs like a chief most of games with pretty much all graphics to the max without lag, depends on which games and I run windows 7 64 bits. My graphic card is getting a bit outdated but I don't play games anymore like I used to so it is really enought for me for now. Recently installed a 128go SSD drive to run as main HDD, and god it makes a real nice difference.

You should really like your new pc.. I agree with the others alienware are overpriced, but their cases look like they have excellent cooling for gamer pc.. It's better to just buy every part and build it yourself, you save a LOT of money.

Not an Alienware, but I have a Dell XPS 8500 with an I7 quad core, 16gb RAM, 1.5 Tb HDD and 1GB video card.

I also moved the hard drive for storage and am using a 128gb SSD for the "C" drive.

It's massively fast, no lagging, love it.

No SSD, I understand I could have built one... Im in school for computer networking. I have always wanted an Alien ware so I just said screw it im going to buy one. lol

Is this an Alienware discussion, or a gaming rig discussion?

I don't do console gaming, but I'm making do with a 1 1/2 yr old AMD......

FX-8120 8 core @ 3.1GHz
16GB DDR3 2133MHz
Radeon HD 6970 2GB
Radeon HD 6450HD for second monitor
1 TB WDC Black

It suffices for me :D

^^^^^Built for less than $800^^^^^

I have the m11 laptop

I had a Dell 8500 desk top that I maxed on RAM, it rocked.

My everyday is an Alienware M17x desktop replacement.
500Gb HD
Dual Nvidia video
8Gb RAM
64 bit Win 7 with office 07 Pro.

Needless to say, I love it . . .
