Omg ya... Prices of tacomas are ridiculous.

I saw a 2011 4x4 Ranger on the ebay yesterday. New XLT $38,000!

I like Rangers but not that much. I'm afraid the Ranger will be gone in it's current form, the Minneapolis plant shut down. It's sad. I'll just keep the old 92 XLT for a few more years.

For 30 grand I could pull a non-rusted out Ranger from a junkyard and put a Boss 429 in it lol

When I saw 38K my thought was "that's damn near enough for an F-150 Raptor".

Just out of curiosity, I went on the Ford website and "built my own" Ranger with the goal of finding how high you could push the price. Choosing every widget including the PowerCode (TM) Remote Start System and Mini Chrome Hood Deflector I ran the MSRP up to $29,866 including delivery fee. I'm not sure what something like that would sell for in the real world.

The real loss is no more simple, plain jane Rangers. An F-150 will cost a lot more to run over the long haul, I think, no matter what the sticker price is. Plus, it's freakin huge.
