Alan Mulally mentions a "new Ranger" on CNBC this morning

This is it. Watch in the 5:20 mark

Now he does says NEW RANGER. BUT!!! Autoblog says Ford called them and told them he misspoke. The NEW RANGER is the global Ranger again not for the US. Of course this may be true but he was stating the line up of North American cars and trucks!

I dunno. Take it how you will. This is as bad as (Insert a Family Guy flashback scene).........

Hmm, NEW ranger??? T6 or is this on the same unibody platform as the exploder?

Oh wait... did a little research and found this side note:

*UPDATE: Ford continues to tell Autoblog that the new global Ranger is not planned for North America. As we've previously reported, the new F-150 will receive an EcoBoost powertrain that should deliver similar economy figures to the Ranger while providing improved size and capability, thereby negating the need for bringing a smaller pickup in this market.

are they bringing the ranger back or not anybody really know

the ranger wont be gone forever.

really surprised if it leaves altogether, just to have the balls to take it away pisses me off.

but a 28 - 35 mpg diesel 4x4 ranger crew will decimate 150 sales:sad:

If that happenes Bobby, they'll just do as Toyota and Chevrolet did and make it a $40k compact truck.... Fawk'm, I'll just be happy with my old used and abused pile o' parts!

I think this subject has been beat to death for three years now. Don't see any plans for a new US plant so if we were to get one, it would be one of the world-wide versions. Might luck out in a couple of years when they would be able to meet US standards.

Omg ya... Prices of tacomas are ridiculous. If I want more seats I'll put a third in middle like how mclarens are setup. A smaller race seat would fit perfect... I never have time to do the things I want. Love the diesel ranger if supercab not doublecab.
