Airbox buzz, mass airflow sensor?

I have a 98 Ranger, 4x4, 4.0L and occasionally, usually when it's warm outside there is a buzz under the hood, the airbox more specifically. I took out the sensor and cleaned it carefully a while back and that seemed to help for a while but I think that something else is going on. Any similar symptoms out there!

Ive never heard of anything like that before. Its interesting that cleaning the MAF was able to help for awhile
