Hello,
I'm having air flow problems. I'll try to give all the information I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I have a 97 ranger with a 4.0L OHV engine. My air filter is making a whistling sound. I can put my hand over the inlet hole, and the whistling will go away. I replaced the air filter (no help). It appears to be starving for air. The engine will lope, and sometimes will die at red lights. The air mass flow meter is inside of the air filter compartment. I have replace the entire air filter compartment. (however it is a used air filter housing) Still does the same thing. It's driving me crazy. What would be the best resolution ? After market filter system? Or replace something in the filter system? Thanks in advance for any information
