Ok so I have been looking for a cold air intake for my ranger for a long time. The problem I have come across is that apparently, a 1997 3.0L V6 is like the orphan child for air intakes. I can find ones for the 4.0L and the 4 cyl but not my engine. Would an air intake for a 4.0L V6 work on my 3.0L?:icon_confused:

K&N has one(I have it)... but its a short ram not technically a CAI. Truthfully just put a good filter on your stock air box and if you can make the hole to the fender bigger and make a new tube to fit that bigger hole.

also it would be good to make a new tube for smoother flow.

You don't have to look too far...just pop the hood.

Ford put one in your truck in 1997. :icon_thumby:

Alright, I might have to try that.
