I have a 1986 Ranger 4x4 with a 2.9L. I want to put air back on the vehicle and all I have is the compressor. It had factory air. I need to know what ALL I am going to have to get to make the air work again. And possibly wherre to get it at? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Assuming you still have the factory AC heater box. You will need an evaporator core, accumulator, receiver/drier, orifice tube, hoses, a seal kit, and probably an expansion valve and A/C switch. If I were shopping for the stuff, I'd at least get the accumulator, receiver drier, and orifice tube new. Then I'd probably try to find the hoses, Expansion valve, and evaporator core in a local yard. I'd also look there for the AC switch, and any wiring you may have removed. Depending on how long it has been since it was used, and how it was stored, those things can go bad from just sitting.

Personally I'd go ahead and replace that compressor as well.
