Yesterday, I went for a good long drive. While checking out a section of 1950's highway in the Fraser Canyon, I drove over a large rock. Everything seemed fine till I stopped at Boston Bar. When I started the truck there, the air bag light flashed the following pattern four times: 2 flashes, then seven flashes. I'm hoping I didn't damage something when I dove over the rock. A friend says it could be that the sensor is buggered. Any ideas?

Code 27: Passenger Airbag Deactivation light short to battery.

Probably the key switch that turns the passenger air bag off.

Unplug the air bag module and the light. Then check for voltage on the yellow and green wire with the key on. If no power connect the switch again, hook power to that wire. If the light lights up you need a new module. If it doesn't you need a new switch.

Actually a code 2-7, is for the PAD but... it is for a bad light, that little light that lights up the passenger air bag light off may have broken the filiment. I took mine out and the bulb was toast, I put a resistor in to bridge the broken bulb and the light went away. I still need to get a bulb for it though. Should be a 12v 120ma.

My info is taken right out of the shop manual. It probably is the light burnt out, which is serviced with the switch in my world. I just figured I'd give him the pinpoint diag info so he could be sure that the light is the problem, not something else.
