guess what happened today? my inertia switch went up in smoke:scare: but the truck didnt luckily. before it burnt up, the engine ran rough. when you gave it gas it bogged. would that have anything to do with it?
i also had a broken wire on the 1 wire to 3 wire setup from the starter solinoid in my 88 when i first got it. my friend wired the broken fuel pump one to the starter solinoid. would that be the problem possibly?

i also want to know where to get one and how much an inertia switch will cost new or from a junkyard. im pissed about it cause i had it running good and i just washed it.

I can get them for literatly pennies from the yard I get parts from.

atleast they are cheap. i might buy a new one from the dealer to be safe or just get a junkyard one.

Good luck finding one at a dealership.

i got one. yay! now i need to install it. it was $26.75. the wires were bare on the plug near the top of the carpet and probably cause a short. would a bad ground cause it to fry tho?

im gonna ask if i can get the truck i took the switch from. its a 2.9 auto 4x4. good body on it too.
