I'm trying to replace all my guages with aftermarket stuff.I need to know how I would hook up the aftermarket gas guage and voltmeter.Do I need to cut the wires from the plug on behind the instrument cluster? Is there another way of hooking it up? I need the help.Thanks.

You do not necessarily have to cut the wires. You can just splice into them.

Here is the gauge panel that I made for my truck.

Nice fabrication job! You sure won't have to guess what's happening in engine and trans with this setup.:icon_thumby:

Is there anywhere that I can find a diagram that shows which wire goes where?I can't seem to find anything.Maybe I'm just being a dumbass.

The easiest way is to pull your cluster out and trace the circuit on the back of the panel. There will be 2 going to each gauge. one is the common ground and the other is the signal. The ground will go to all the gauges. You can trace the signal back to the plug and tell which wire you are looking for.
There is a diagram in the chiltons manual that I have. The fuel gauge has a yellow/White wire and the amp meter is Yellow/Light Green.

Hope this all helps.
