just wondering what everyone is running for exhaust. I cut off my second cat and then installed a custom 2.5 inch cat back running a thrush turbo muffler with side exit. tip closeup

the tips are now straight lol

I am running a stock muffler with gutted cats on my '86 (not my doing) and my '88 still has the factory exhaust. My F150 has no cats and glass packs. It almost makes me splooge myself everytime I drive it.

do even the 4.0's sound like a fart cannon with a magnaflow, because i really dont wanna sound like a ricer, would anyone reccomend anything?

thanks, i appretiate the input and am deff gonna go with a flowmaster and fab up a custom 2.5 cat back to go with it.

I got this one at a jy so I'm not sure what it is

Looks like glass packs to me.

I'm running a Flowmaster 40 series single in dual out with stock cats. It has a nice deep tone but when I get up to the higher RPMs it's sounds raspy.

2 1/2 from the y-pipe back into a single cat into a Flowmaster 40 knock-off and exiting with a custom bent pipe up over the frame rail before the rear tire.

Aluminum foil seal really well :D

gutted 1 cat, put new one on back half (looks like 2 for california) into glass pack then open from there. to me sounds awesome. throatie not FARTY:icon_hornsup:

Stock. It's all a street truck needs and I am not much for loud daily drivers.

I've got the 4.0 and I was thinking about getting a flowmaster 40 super series, but I really have no idea exactly what I'll need to get to/how to do it. Should i take it to a muffler shop or does anyone have like a guide?
