When I broke the front inner shaft I destroyed the needles in the U joint caps. Tore it apart tonight and the grease was dried up. Anyone make a joint as strong as a 760X that has 4 small grease certs so you can keep them lubed? Usually I break the joint or outer but the last time I had it apart I went chrome molly outers with 760X's and well the next weakest point was the inner. Also found water in most my fluids. Strange!

ice in my t case and diffs.....bastard wouldnt move had to fire up the heaters and dump it all out


i knew better then to just park it but i was beat from working it 3 hrs just to get 150 feet to shore..i just drove it in the garage and went to bed. i wonder if chains would have helped. winch messed up....it was sucky.

apparently a lil early to be running on the lake ice fishing

have you made a decision on the axle situation?

in any case just stay off the lakes for a bit in the mean time

I had to winch it in the garage and then turn the heat on. Ice became water and I was good to go. I fixed the steering box bracket and put a new shaft in and have been running her. I think I'll run it like this till I break her again.

I'd like to dove the back of her but the rear gate being made out of fiberglass and my need to shorten it is making me think twice. Also I'd love to move the rear axle forward and drop another rear axle in along with rear steer but I'm broke so i dont think that will happen anytime soon.
