I am going to replace a tired 3 litre engine in a 93 ranger.
There seems to be more Aerostar vans parting out than Ranger pick-ups.
Can someone inform me if these engines are the same and a direct bolt in or are there some differences. What years? Thanks

Yea an Aerostar 3.0 will bolt into a Ranger, the only thing that might be diffrent is the oil pan and front accessors and brackets (Alt, P/S, A/c etc) But all your ranger parts will bolt right on to the Aerostar block.

Power steering brackets and exhaust manifolds.

Unless the donor is a '93-up you'll need to swap the oil pan.

there is a clearance "Dent" for the 4x4 axle pivot bracket
that only the '93-up oil pans have.
