I'm right in the middle of this swap and was wondering what purpose the 5/8 radiator hose has that runs from the lower radiator hose up to the nipple on the intake right by the thermostat. My nipple is damaged and the Aerostar didnt have the hose altogether. Also anyone know why the Aerostar waterpump is half the price of the Ranger one? The only difference I see is the size of the nipple for the heater core hose. My Aerostar pump is good so i'd like to use it, rather than spending $60 on a new Ranger pump. I was reading in my chiltons book that you need to mark the location of the flex plate for re-installation. I didnt mark either engine. How important is this. I just figured if it was weighted there would be bolt spacing as to only allow proper instalation. Thanks RB
