Advanced Adapters AOD-BW1350

I purchased this from Advanced Adapters for my V8 install. It arrived and looked pretty, but came with next to nothing for instructions. I was annoyed at the lack on instructions pertaining to installing that shaft in the transmission. Whatever, I got it figured.

Tonight I went to put the T-case shifter back on (so as to go wheeling this weekend) and it dosn't want to fit. The ONLY position that it will go on is in 4LOW. I cannot move my shifter forwards into 4HI or 2WD because the shifter collides with the Adapter.

Anybody else had this grief? Or did I do something wrong and yours went smoothly?

(Yes I have called them, they were underwhelmingly unhelpful)

i think it says on the AA website that shifter mods may be necessary

There are 3 different length shifters depending on the length of the transmission you had. Did you order the AA adapter to match the assembled length of the A4LD you took out? There are 2 different length AA adapters.
