The white Ranger has a long and constantly changing story. At first it was bought for parts, I was gonna pull the engine, trans, and wiring and sell the rest to a co-worker. He got fired.

So I was gonna get it back into running condition and sell if to Kip. He bought that FSB.

So now Bobbywalter might be buying it from me if he comes out this way for work.

If not, it's getting stripped and parted out. Probably rebuild the trans into a 4x4 for the B2.

Yeah, the Escape is the wife's DD.

Got a little more done today.

I now have half of a PW/L with remote keyless entry system. The left half to be precise (that's the only side that matters anyway, right?).

None of the powers or grounds are hardwired in yet, so it's all on temporary hook up, and it only unlocks the doors because the lock relay isn't wired up yet either. That's tomorrow's project.

It all kinda works now. Windows work until the power wire falls out. Lock switches got wired backwards somehow, and the passenger side actuator is shot. Remotes work fine though.

I guess that's what happens when you spend your morning removing everything that holds it to the truck.

Here is the new axle almost ready to go in. I have to ream out the holes on the spring perches because they aren't big enough, and I don't have my helper to help get the new axle off the stands and onto the dolly.

Also, gravity did the majority of the work of placing the 7.5 axle on the dolly. I'm not quite sure how I am going to put the 8.8 up in.

Looks like a productive morning! I just kinda sat around, worked on my front spindle seal problem a bit and resumed sitting around. I'm good at it.

do you have a floor jack? every rear axle I have ever put into place by my self was done with a floor jack under the pumpkin...just lift that fawker up there. simple.

well....................what you do is...................................if'n you begin putting things together-that fit together.......the garage will get organized by itself.....then throw away all the empty boxes/cartons/leftover metal by hauling it off in the bed of your completed truck...

that method has worked for me over the decades....

Well I didn't put the truck on stands with the Force.

My problem isn't getting it in the truck so much as off it's current stands. It is heavy and my back is not as strong as it should be. The springs are actually low enough to the floor that I could probably just use the U-bolts to draw it up to the truck, but my biggest obstacle to continuing today is the holes for the dowel on the lift block. The holes are too small and I don't have a drill bit that big. I also don't have the money to go get one until tomorrow when my pay check clears. I spent all my money from the scrap yard on fluid and new parking brake shoes.
