My '10 Ranger has a single horn. Did they come with dual horns like my '99 Mazda? And if so, how do I install a second horn, and where?

Anybody have a picture of the dual-horn setup on these trucks? The Mazda has the two horns separate from each other, is my '10 the same way?

Most newer Fords have a single unit, that contains the high and low note.

Ah, no wonder mine sounds funny...I removed the one on the driver side for some reason and never put it back...

My 88 had them on either side of the rad, but there was as sort of space there on that year...newer ones might not have the same little space available...

Can you show me a picture, ad? I have one horn, one note. Maybe mine's just gone tits-up?

Don't think yours failed. My 08 sounds weird too. Not as loud and sort of wimpy.

I can't find a good picture of the one I am thinking of. It looks just like the single horn, but there are two of them on one bracket. I don't know if we have any Rangers around right now that aren't +20 years old for me to look at.

The problem with those is one is turned up and it tends to get water in it. Then it eventually fails. I replaced the failed one with one similar that I found on eBay. I had to modify the connector a little get it to fit. I also had to silicone the connector in place to keep it connected because I had to remove the locking device. I also installed it facing down so it would not collect water.

Okay, that's completely different from mine. I have one single horn. 2 Wires to the connector, bluish/white and black/white.

Is this a simple plug and play upgrade? Assume it would be since the horns are pre-wired.

Those look a lot like the ones I put in my 2004. Mine came from a late 90s/early 2000s full size Ford truck in the junkyard. I had to bend the bracket a little but it is 'plug and play'. You can loosen the nuts and point them in any direction.

Cool. I ordered some hornage off eBay this morning after a little research. Correct p/n is 2L5Z-13832-BA. Mazda number 1F21-66-780A.

Should be here next Tuesday.

They showed up yesterday, by USPS. Installed them yesterday afternoon, and the dual-note is so much louder and sounds so much better than the little low-volume wuss single-note it's unreal.

Install was pretty easy: Took out the old horn and bracket, removed the horn from the bracket and opened up the hole a bit, attached the new assembly to that bracket, re-attached the whole deal to the truck and plugged it in. Hardest part was going to AutoZone and getting a 3-pack of M-8x16 bolts - which of course is two more than I needed.
