Checked on Alldata and autozone, none show how to adjust the V belts on a 92 2.9L. Best I can see, is i've gotta loosen pretty well all of the mounting bolts for the AC compressor, the power steering pump, and the alternator and try to pull them into the right position while tightening the bolts? I love how it's tripple redundant to the fan and water pump though...good idea that one.

There's actually one on the alternator and I believe one or two on the power steering pump you need to loosen to slack them up.
I just figured it out by trial and error, but IIRC the one for the alt is lower down on the passenger side and a pretty beefy one, it was a 17 or 18mm head.

The power steering pump, I'd be lucky to remember how I did it. I just started loosening bolts until it was slack, then re-tightened them in reverse order and found the two that let it hang free. IIRC, towards the bottom and another on the driver's side.

If there is a set bolt to add/remove tension, I haven't found it. Set tension by hand and tightened them back up.

Thanks,

I did it like you said and it didn't really take that long.
