Hey everyone....I'm sure this has been answered a thousand times, so if you know a thread please point me in the right direction. I am thinking about doing the Superlift and 35's on my 2004 4x4 Edge Automatic. Right now I have 33's and am sure that 35's will be too much for stock gearing (which I think is 3.73's...maybe 4.10's). Do you think that 4.56's would be good? Also, how involved is the process of swapping them out because I would like to do it myself?

And can someone clarify that the rear end on my truck is an 8.8 and the front is D28? I'm very mechanically inclined...so I don't mean to sound dumb...just double checking my facts. Thanks for any help.
John

8.8 and D35. I would go with 4.88's. There are people that run 4.56's which brings it close to stock but with the added weight of big tires and such I like to go lower

Agreed, 4.88 would be best with 35s if you have the 4.0L.

Check the Axle FAQ post at the top here, there are links to some reading on swapping gears yourself.

Alright thanks guys.
