I've been working on adding a chat this morning. Right now it's set for anyone to use, but I need to integrate it to use the forum database and recognize logged in members.

Having problems figuring this out:

Step 4, Integrate your chat with vbulletin user database
If you choose running mode 1 or mode 2, integration is needed, you may achieve this by following the instructions below.
1. Log in the Admin Panel of your 123FlashChat server
OPEN: System Settings -> Integrate Panel

2. Find: DataBase -> SELECT: URL -> edit

3. Change URL:
http://<vbulletin install directory>/login_chat.php?username=%username%&password=%password%
4. Press OK to save your setting.

not sure on that maybe mjones will know?

Good Luck Jim!

What chat are you integrating? if its a ajax type of chat you have to keep on top of the chat or it will load the server up really bad.

What chat is it?

Most chats come with an integration script, database integration is pretty simple with most boards they all use an api type of system now which makes harder stuff simple.

I am a php programmer, that also loves the ranger and i have had experience with most chat systems that integrate with forum softwares.

I am also pretty skilled with the back end of VB because i am staff at several VB sites. HTML help central being one of them. I am one of the resident php guys there.

If I had direct access and an hour to play I could probably figure it out. I have neither.
