So looking to add an additional mount to support my doubler. The rear transfer case is a manual 1354 and it has the bosses for the big rubber donut (guess it's for vibration). Do you think those bosses would work if I added a plate off them to attach a mount then build a crossmember to attach too? My only fear is the bosses breaking off.

Thanks
Steve

Seems I have read of someone using those bosses to support it (I can't remember who it was though), but I'm with you, they don't seem like they'd really be up to the task, given the length that they stand out from the rear of the case.

What I did for mine was fab up a bracket for the cases to simply rest on top of a snubber (made from an axle bump stop). This prevents the cases (mounts) from fighting each other as the drivetrain flexes & twists on the motor & trans mounts (especially if your added t-case mount is not inline with your trans mount).
The bracket that rests on the snubber is attached to the rear of the doubler box (a D.D. Machine unit).

Thanks for the reply and suggestion 4x4Junkie.

I forgot say I had installed an additional transfer case skid plate from another BII and placed a chunk of rubber between the skid and back case to support it before. Now that I have added AutoFab engine and Trans mounts just looking for some way to support the back case where it's more secure.
