add aux to older stereo??

I sorta figured it out. I got two 2into1 RCA assortment to keep my sub hooked up and one 2into1 RCA to headphone piece. Got it installed and found out the stereo has an optional Aux that was turned off. I hooked it all up and when the iPod is on it only come out the front speakers but if I go to fm all speakers will work. Any idea on that. That's the only downfall I have found and the sound can only be changed from the iPod.

That is called presidential engineering....

If it has an aux, there should be a better way to wire it.

What radio is it? Model?

I'd like to know what model number we are working with.

Also, I didn't realize that your modulator wasn't wired. I agree, wired is the only way to rock n' roll!

Mine just went in series on the antenna cable (I'm sure the rest of these mentioned did as well).

got a cheaper one for 7 bucks free shipping. It will make me use my RCA to headphone piece but thats okay. So hopefully this is the end of this thread.

I modded one to amplify the TX power by around 150%. It called for a external antenna.

In the past I've had good luck with the FM tuner module. Any chance the modulator you used was just a POS? I used a Sony made modulator, and it was crystal clear.

Is it old enough to have a tape player? They have the cassette adapters as well.

EDIT:
