My 04 is squating a bit. So i cranked the torsion bars(wish i measured befor i did)Still not happy with the height. And i want to do an add-a-leaf in the rear, to make it not so level and give a lil more weight carring capacity. My ? is. How much lift will the add-a-leaf give?

Is there anything else i can do to get more lift from the front? How much lift should i have in the front?(from the center of the hub to the wheel well opening?)

Instead of the addaleaf you should look at a new set of shackles. Belltech 6400s will lift your back end about 1.5 inches and will improve ride and flex over the stock shackle. It also won't ride like crap. For the front you are limited to about 2 inches without killing your front end components. You can get a superlift kit for a lot and lift it 4 inches or you can go with the DBR kit for 5k and get a true long-travel kit. 98+ are limited on lifting.

thanks 99 3.0 but i dont mind a harsher ride. I want minimal lift w added weight carring capcity

What leaves do you have in the back? To find this out, open the driverside door and look at the doorjamb sticker. Under "SPR", it'll say something like 1C or BBKK....post up what it says on yours. Some have 4 digits, some have 2 digits. First is torsion bar spring rate code. Second set is the leaf spring rate code.

If K, you've got the weakest leaves on a torsion bar truck. If C, you've got the strongest leaves on a torsion bar truck. If you're good with a grinder and drill, putting on Chevy 1/2 ton 64" leafs(88-98) will lose about 1/2" lift in the back after removing the factory 2.5" block. Add the 6400 shackle for 1.5" or .75" of lift and you'll be either the same or slightly taller than before. They are more arched, handle more weight, and only require the front leaf mount to be moved forward about 6". Check the Tech Library for info on the swap.

We can post up measurements to the wheel lip molding/opening til the cows come home....but there's so many variables that it won't be too accurate. I'd suggest crank 'em til your happy. If your driverside bolt is all the way in, that's all you got. Next step is a Superlift suspension lift($1500). I suggest 4 total rotations of the adjustment bolt and call it good. There's not many options out there for torsion bar Rangers. "leveling kits" are total junk and a waste in the long run.

Well i got home this am and checked my spring code. It is a BBCC. I heard something about going to a sporttrac for their torsion bars as they are ratted for a heavier weight. And yes. my drivers side torsion bolt is almost bottomed(2 threads left). The pass side has about 5-6 threads left
