So I found a guy pretty close that has the adapter/tcase and a auto trans.

My main qustion is would I come out ahead(cost wise) doin the adapter(he wants 500 for the lot) or useing a fullsize trans tcase? How does one put the drive lines in witht he full size stuff?

Allso would/what 5spd could I use on the adapter.....yes im one of them if it aint a manual its a wossy......

There isn't a universal adapter each transmission model is unique so it is going to depend on what that guy has and that's all it will fit. His adapter is for a particular automatic; it will not bolt to a manual. All Ford fullsize t-cases use the same 6 bolt pattern. You can take any transmission manual or automatic and use one of those t-cases. There are some exceptions as always, I have never seen a C4 with a fullsize t-case from the factory with the exception of the early bronco dana 20. If you want a C4 swap the tailshaft and find a ranger C5 extension housing to use your stock t-case. For manuals look to use the T18, T19 or NP435 4 speeds, M5OD 5 speed and if you feel like cutting your floor a ZF 5 speed.

I guess it's a no go for the adapter, I WILL NOT have a auto in this truck. I love my manuals.

I don't mind cutting at all, it's onley metal. I'm wanting a 5spd as this thing will see some highway use.

My game plan is try to find a whole truck and just start ripping parts from it for my ranger. I allso have a lift and all that so I should have plenty of room for stuff.
