hey, i did my rear diff. fluid service about 10K miles ago thinking i had a limited slip rear. turns out I don't. I DID add the additive when i did it.

question: should I get it out of there, and get fresh gear oil with no additive in there? or is it no harm, no foul?

If it doesn't hurt the gears in a limited slip diff, it won't hurt them in an open diff. The additive is for the clutches in limited slip.

It wont hurt a thing, just leave it alone

+1, just leave it. A lot of gear oils come with the additive already mixed in and they can be used in both conventional and limited slip diffs.

That stuff really works, if you have an LS, but it wont hurt anything in an open as previously stated.

Was it the Trans-x brand? that's what I always used.
