I want to add oil pressure and water temp gauges but am a little confused about which route to take. From what I can tell, the mechanical gauges will be the most accurate, but are more complex to install. Does anyone have experience using both? Recommendations?

Thanks

Both are equally rated for install, but with the mechanical water temp you are limited on the distance you can run the sending unit. The oil pressure gauge you can connect the tubing together (2 install kits) for a longer run if you need to, and unless you use the copper tubing for installation ( highly recommended), you need to be careful not to kink the tubing. Copper tubing is also proned to kinking, but is less easier to kink:icon_thumby:
