Or buy a bracket?plz help

Could you maybe ask all your questions in one thread instead of posting a new thread for every little thing that you think of?

I can for now on.thought it would be easier to do diff thread with each topic so nothing gets mixed up or ppl get confused. I apolojize

Trash the 2.8 bracket with the rest of the 2.8 and get a bracket off of a carbed 302.

The 2.8 cable will fit but will seem a tad too long... mine has been working for 2.5 years now.

I used a lockar cabel and bracket, remove the factory cabel from the firewall and use a warsher on both side to install cabel housing. Save the spring and plasic parts from the inside part of the factory cabel (what is on the inside of the firewall) on the inside of new cabel.

I ended up making my own bracket. I cut the holder part off my old 2.8 bracket and welded it to a couple pieces of flat stock, doing some measuring of where to weld, cut, etc... and it has been working great for me for almost a year.

Kind of remines me of my alternator and power steering brackets off the 2.9 and made to fit the 5.0

I opted for a longer cable, turned a grooved wheel on the lathe. Well this is my setup.
