Back in March I purchased a new 2008 Ranger XLT Ex-cab 3.0. Just recently I decided it was warm enough to run the AC in my new truck. The AC seems to work properly (meaning it seems to cool ok) but the problem or at least I perceive it to be a problem is a "harmonic vibration" that comes through the steering wheel and brake pedals when the RPMS are between 1000 and 1300. This is when it is rolling or sitting still. It is very annoying. It is louder when rolling but it is not necessary to hear or feel it.
Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? Is this normal and I am just not use to the sounds of my new truck even though I have owned 2 Rangers before this one?
I am in a "holding pattern" with a Ford Dealer who says a "field engineer" needs to take a look at it before anything can be done, this even after sending an email to Ford about the problem.
