1994 B4000, have no power at the compressor, have power at the relay, the accumulator and elsewhere, just not to the compressor. The relay is getting warm, if that means anything. I have never had AC on my own vehicle, neever been a big deal to me, but I would like to have the option if possible. Engine, tranny and most other things I can handle, AC and electrical is a little out of reach somewhat, lol. Any help would be great , Thanks
Yes I swapped relays, I dont have a layout of the fuses and such: couldnt find any blown either,,and I have several test items,,,just got to know where to go with the testing,,not my forte' so to speak, lol.
If the low pressure switch was hit due to low freon then there would be no voltage at the relay, follow the wires coming from the compressor to the fuse block and see if theres a short to ground anywhere, the relay getting hot means there is high amperage going through it which could easily be a short to ground or (pray not) the electro magnet that engages the compressor clutch is frozen still. If the wires check out find a way to get direct power to the compressor and if the clutch doesnt move then its time for a new one or get that one rebuilt.
