AC making horrible noise

Hey guys, got a question to run by you. I have a 2001, 2.3L, 5sp.

I went over a pretty big bump today and ever since the AC has been making a horrible noice. I have attached both a sound clip and picture.

The object circled in green is where the noise appears to be originating from. It is significantly louder in the cab than under the hood/outside.

Also, the cylindrical piece to the left in the pic appears it could be the culprit as well. Can anyone help ? Possibly even just identifying what these are

What you've circled is the evaporator, the sound is coming from your fan which is that thing to the left in your pic. You can pull those three screws and it'll come out and you can inspect it. If I remember right, mine was making a similar noise right before it died, had to replace it and all was well. Make sure you don't throw away the blade part if you do need a new one, you'll swap that over to the new motor.

The housing is busted and the fan has moved over and is hitting the housing. You might can patch, but probably replace.shady
