Depends on what I am driving. Sports car? Hell no. I'll take rear ABS on a truck or SUV though. If it's a car for a regular driver, I feel it should have ABS. Most people do not have the proper experience or training to drive like a hooligan without ABS.
I've never been a fan of abs. I grew up in snowbelthell and can hold my own driving on snow covered roads. It's annoying to start hitting the brakes only to have the abs system start pedal pounding. The last few company minivans I did use? All had ABS systems that where just (IMO) to to sensitive and triggered early.
In general, I don't like abs. I learned to drive junkers from the early 80's to mid 90's that never had it and I prefer not to have it. My aunt's 07 or so Rav4 has it and it along with the traction control which you CANNOT turn off makes me want to burn it when I have to drive it in major snow. She has a steep driveway that usually has ice underneath the snow, and the bastard thing won't stop even when creeping down. Sometimes I have to grab the ebrake so the back tires will dig in and stop it. The traction control sucks too because sometimes you NEED speed and wheelspin to make it to the top. As soon as this happens it just goes bawwwww and shuts the engine power down to nothing. I HATE newer Toyotas with a passion because of that thing. My mom's 98 4x4 S10 isn't nearly as bad. The abs isn't quite as sensitive, but as soon as it starts to act up like most late 90s and early 00s chevys do, it will get disconnected, as she has never had a vehicle with abs either.
