ABS issues?

Well, this is my first tech. post here. My son's 95 Ranger 4X4, (155000mi.) pulls to the right; however, it's not just a simple pull. When I spin the right rotor by hand there is excessive pad drag, (much more than the left side). When I retract the caliper pistons all is fine. There's residual pressure in the line. Here's the problem. The old calipers were leaking and I replaced them along with new hoses, (all three) and all new steel front and rear brake lines. Old lines were badly rusted. I replaced everything on the rear brakes. They were shot. The truck now stops great; however, it still slightly pulls right. When the brakes are applied the pull goes away. When the brakes are released you can see the steering wheel start to go right if you let go of it. The only component untouched is the ABS controller. Could this be the problem? Also has anyone converted ABS to non ABS. I could care less about having ABS on this truck. I think it's somewhat of a PIA anyway. I appreciate any help!

Does the brake have sensers on the front is there all four abs or just the rear? You know that the calipers back off only by the flex of the rubber in the seal and if the fit is poor in your new caliper it won't come back as much.

It's 4 wheel ABS. I replaced both calipers at the same time along with all the other brake work.

you can disable the abs by taking out the abs motor fuse. in my 06 it was fuse 17 in the engine fuse box not sure what fuse it is in a 95 but that should be easy to find in a hanes manuel. the abs light will stay on but you can yank the bulb. the speedometer is linked to the abs so there is really no other way that wont mess up speedometer.
as for the pull to the right, machine the rotors or get new ones. they could be slightly warped. could need allignment, balljoint, caliper adjustment. tie rods. barings. anything like that

Thanks for the help, I just had new ball joints installed and had it aligned. The brakes are all new and the rotors were turned. Like I said before there's residual pressure in the right line and when I push on the caliper and slightly retract the piston everything is fine. When I did the brakes, and I've done brakes for almost 40yrs., I greased the pins and made sure the calipers had unrestricted movement. I think I will check the rotor with a dial indicator just for kicks, but like I said it was pulling before I did the brakes and it's still pulling with everything being new. The right rotor just has much more drag than the left when I jack the truck up and spin the tires by hand. I just can't figure out why there is pressure in the line.

1996 here

Try this.
Swap the front left tire/wheel with the front right tire/wheel.

Do not laugh until you've done it.

I've got it in the shop right now. That sounds like a good idea. Thanks!
